Rise Up To Your Membership Obligation

God has truly kept His promise that "He will never forsake us nor leave us alone", therefore this year, 2007, St. James A.M.E. Church of Elgin, Illinois has been in the ministry of saving souls and bringing life and hope to the community for 126 years.

In 1920, a tornado struck the City of Elgin and caused damage to the original building of St. James. At different times, the Church went through adverse circumstances. But, thank God for His promise and the commitment of some faithful members, St. James still exists to be about our God-given ministry.

The success of every organization depends not on members who can be counted on only in good times, but truly on members who are committed and never give up especially in difficult times.

St. James should keep marching on in victory. Therefore, rise us Officers! Rise up Members! Rise up believers! Let us all rise up and be faithfully committed to our Church membership obligations. All to the glory of God.

Reverend Francis Y. Senyah, Pastor
